Happy New Year! Okay it’s February…

It’s been a long time since I have been here!

Having done dry January in one of the bleakest most depressing round of lockdowns during covid I vowed never to do it again!

Yet here I am, welcoming 2023 and willingly doing a dry January. This time, it has gone well! And I have put my snobbery away and turned to non alcoholic spirits which I am surpisingly enjoying!!! I still have an issue paying a similar price to gin (vs non alcoholic gin) BUT its made this dry January nice and enjoyable.

I have to confess I am not one for resolutions and with the cost of living rising, the government in place here in UK, I think it is going to be a tough year!! I am willing a general election.

Anyhoo….anyone that knows me will be shocked that I am not planning any getaways!! I usually have this mapped out by the end of every January - not this time. Instead…I am doing something different for me! I am being cautious and dutiful because this is reality and reality dictates caution!

I am also learning to stand in my stillness- something I haven’t done in years and something that since parenting came along never seemed possible. I am not good at standing still - hell, I’m a Gemini!

I am taking a few months to reconnect with me and hopefully what will follow will be some lovely blogs in wine, food pairing, and travelling!

I wish everyone enough….because sometimes more is not going to solve things and enough is all we need to make it trhough to the next chapter.

But what about wine!! Well this month’s feature is simple. My current favourite tipple is a Sipsmith non alcoholic gin with a slice of orange and a MEditerreanean Fever Tree tonic.

It is refreshing and a good sipper!

Until next time.

xoxo Lisa
